March 20, 2009

Today during class I am working on the bill of materials. The bill of materials is a list of the components that we need on a table to be easily read. It has everything we need, so we do not have to use any more than we need to. I think we all need to do this, especially because we went overboard with the derby car project. This will help keep spending to a minimum.

I was not at class today, but I could not work on the anything because there was problems at home. I will aim for completeting it over the weekend.

March 18, 2009

Today Mr. Tator went around and checked on the progress of the groups. We discussed Sarah's sketch and gave critics so she could finish. So far she is almost done, she just needs to fix a few things and then it is almost done. Celine started taking pictures and helped me critic the design for the trebuchet. The crest design is almost done, I just need to scan it into illistator and fix it. I will revise me design and then I will be done by Friday.

I was not here today because of some family matters but I will see what I can do tomorrow. My team is very capable and I hope they have done some work while I was not there.

Today I was not here during class. I will try to catch up by asking my team for any updates and progress on the project.

March 10, 2009

Today during class we did not have time to work on the trebuchet project. During class we discussed absolute value and how to solve them. We learned that the variable always has two answers and that an absolute value can never be a negative number. Even though we did not work on the project during class, I am going to work on it at home. I am aiming to at least finish the logo halfway and also figure out our official name. Most of the work right now is up to Sarah, but I hope I will have more to do later on.

March 9, 2009

Today during class we mostly worked on some problems that our teacher gave us. It was mostly about finding roots and the y-intercept of a quadratic equation. We had to factor and find the roots of a problem. At the end of the class we got into our groups and checked with eachother's progress. Sarah is working hard on the sketch and has done several drafts, which shows that she is working to the best of her ability. As for me, I am just discussing a new name with my team because the last name was too girly. I agree with them, and I think we want to be the Falcon Bunnies. My crest I am going to make is going to be pretty sick, every one's minds are going to be blown away. I just hope that it doesn't make a big mess. I am proud of every one's progress and that we can be efficient in the near future.

March 5, 2009

Today, and several days after, are going to be the same as yesterday. The float needs our attention during the day, because it is a group effort we can't do it at home, while some parts of the trubuchet project can be done alone. I am gathering all my materials for the crest, and Sarah is finishing up the design draft on Google Sketch Up. For the Project we have roles and mine are the crest designer and the project manager. Sarah is the lead design drafter and the simulation person, and Celine is the videographer and the time manger. We each have two roles, so every one has an equal part in making the project. Today I am just going to finish setting up my DP for the project and work on the crest.

March 3, 2009

Today was a little different because we started another project. Because the float was a pressing matter we are spending a lot of time on that, and on the side working on the trubuchet. I worked mostly on the crest, and helped with the design plans.

March 2, 2009

Today we set up our Digital Porfolio pages for the Trebuchet project. I set up this page and the Math and Physics Trebuchet Project. We also looked for ideas on how to design a trebuchet that wasn't life size.
